Role Overview
We seek a Strategy Analyst for our Auckland office in a newly created, impactful position. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, this role is central to shaping ZIWI’s global growth, competitive positioning, and resource allocation. Ideal candidates are commercially oriented analysts who excel in dynamic settings and want to deepen their strategic expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive market, competitor, and consumer analyses.
- Create detailed financial models to assess growth opportunities and guide investment decisions.
- Convert complex datasets into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Track global market developments and discern strategic consequences.
- Prepare polished presentations suitable for board-level audiences.
- Lead strategic projects from inception to completion, defining goals, timelines, and resource plans with stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across functions and ensure accountability for outcomes.
- Manage various workstreams proactively addressing risks and impediments.
- Facilitate workshops and decision forums involving senior executives.
- Support annual strategic planning and help formulate long-term roadmaps.
- Contribute to business cases covering market expansion, innovation, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans with measurable results.
- Foster strong partnerships across Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Confidently engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Assist in reporting and analysis related to private equity partnerships.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will be a sharp and organized thinker with a solid consulting background and a track record of delivering outcomes. They will combine analytical precision with commercial insight, taking initiative and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Between one and four years of experience in management consulting.
- Proven capability to manage projects from start to finish.
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and effective storytelling.
- Excellent abilities in problem-solving and project management.
Preferred Attributes
- Background in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sectors.
- Familiarity with private equity environments.
- Exceptional communication skills and practical use of strategy frameworks.
