The Opportunity
Within a newly established strategy department, led by a highly skilled Global Head of Strategy, ZIWI is seeking an experienced Strategic Projects Manager. This role is crucial for translating strategy into tangible execution. The successful candidate will establish structure, governance, and accountability for key projects, while also actively assisting teams in overcoming obstacles, resolving issues, and achieving rapid delivery.
This position is perfect for an individual who appreciates the rigor of project governance and portfolio management, but is equally adept at conducting analysis, crafting compelling presentations, influencing stakeholders, and driving results.
What You Will Be Doing
- Establishing and leading ZIWI's Project Management Office (PMO) from its inception.
- Spearheading strategic projects designed to generate significant business value.
- Ensuring visibility, governance, and accountability across the entire project portfolio.
- Developing executive-level insights, reports, and presentations.
- Engaging with stakeholders to influence decisions and remove impediments to project completion.
- Actively participating in execution to help teams achieve their objectives.
About You
You are a high-achieving professional with 3-5 years of experience in project or transformation roles, ideally within a consulting firm (such as EY, Deloitte, PwC, or KPMG). You possess:
- Proficient project management and organizational capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing presentations and reports for executive and board levels.
- The confidence to effectively engage and influence senior management.
- A proactive, hands-on approach coupled with a strong sense of responsibility.
- The ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
You will excel in a high-performance, fast-paced setting where priorities can change rapidly and execution is paramount. As a private equity-backed entity, ZIWI maintains a strong results-oriented culture, making this an exciting prospect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, collaborates effectively within a team, and desires to make a substantial impact.
Additional Information
All candidates must possess current New Zealand residency or a valid work visa to be considered for this position.
