Opportunity

Blackwoods is looking for a full-time Storeperson to join the Mackay, Queensland warehouse on afternoon shifts. The site is busy and continuing to grow as customer demand increases, so this role offers the chance to become part of a fast-moving team where every day brings a different set of tasks.

The position covers core warehouse activities such as receiving stock, putting goods away, picking customer orders, and preparing them for dispatch. A learning and development program is available for the right person, providing support from the start and helping set the foundation for a long-term career with a business that invests in its people.

Key duties

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
  • Accept incoming stock, label items correctly, and store goods in the warehouse.
  • Sort, load, and unload vehicles as required.
  • Keep shelving stocked and presented neatly.
  • Carry out forklift tasks in the warehouse when needed.
  • Work Monday to Friday afternoon shifts, with hours generally between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm.

What you will bring

  • Prior warehouse experience in receiving, picking, packing, and/or dispatch.
  • Clear communication skills, strong work habits, and a positive, hands-on approach.
  • A forklift licence and/or high-reach experience will be viewed favourably.
  • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to contribute well in a team environment.
  • Comfort using computer systems and/or RF handsets is highly regarded.
