About the role
This position sits within Wolt Market, the company’s grocery retail business focused on delivering a fast, convenient customer experience. The store operation serves customers across Croatia with rapid grocery delivery and is a key part of the company’s expansion in the country. The role is based in Zagreb and is a full-time, on-site leadership position with a strong impact on local operations.
The environment is fast-moving, ambitious, and hands-on. It suits someone who enjoys taking ownership, working in a growth setting, and helping build efficient store operations while supporting a team to perform at its best.
What you will do
- Guide, coach, and develop a team that includes 2–3 Shift Leads, using Wolt’s leadership values as a framework.
- Make sure Shift Leads have the tools, knowledge, and support needed to keep daily store activities running smoothly.
- Stay on top of core store processes such as freshness, inventory control, and stock management.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing feedback conversations.
- Hold regular one-to-one meetings to support individual growth, review performance, and align on goals.
- Create a positive team environment where colleagues can do strong work and enjoy the process.
- Work with the Operations Manager to steadily improve store performance and day-to-day execution.
- Support planning of shifts and schedules.
- Oversee incoming goods and keep the store organized and in order.
- Coordinate with other Wolt teams, including Category & Supply, to support store needs and operations.
- Ensure the store has what it needs to grow, from everyday supplies and IT equipment to larger operational purchases such as refrigerators.
What we are looking for
- Prior experience in a leadership role.
- Strong ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks at once.
- A proactive, “can-do” mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting.
- Grocery store experience is considered an advantage.
- Comfortable communicating in both Croatian and English at a fluent level.
- A service-oriented approach and a proactive working style.
