Role overview
This opportunity is for a Store Manager to lead the opening of a new Warehouse Stationery store in Whitianga. The location offers a laid-back coastal way of life, a lively town atmosphere, and a strong sense of community, along with easy access to beaches, boating, fishing, and watersports throughout the year. In this leadership role, you will own the day-to-day operation of the store, shape a culture that puts both the team and customers first, and help build a high-performing, profitable business through strong retail execution and ongoing improvement.
You will also coach and support a motivated team, helping each person do their best work and create a positive experience for every customer. In addition, you will act as a local representative for the store, building relationships with nearby businesses, schools, and community groups through store-led community engagement.
Requirements
- Solid management background, ideally gained in a retail environment.
- Practical understanding of all key store operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead teams well, engage customers, and support sales influence.
- Confidence in reading, understanding, and putting plans into action.
- Resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
