Overview
This position offers an exciting leadership opportunity to manage one of New Zealand's most prominent retail stores. Based permanently onsite at the Albany MEGA Store in Auckland, this full-time role requires 45 hours per week. The compensation package ranges between $130,000 and $150,000 annually, complemented by a company vehicle and participation in a staff discount program valid at select Columbus Cafés and Mitre 10 outlets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a substantial multi-department leadership team to achieve exceptional performance.
- Develop and implement commercial and operational strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Foster a culture emphasizing customer service excellence, safety, merchandising, and workforce engagement.
- Maintain operational effectiveness through managing inventory, personnel, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and community partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in large-scale, high-volume retail environments.
- Proven record in achieving strong financial results with sound operational and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire diverse teams effectively.
- Expertise in merchandising, stock control, forecasting, and occupational health and safety compliance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the New Zealand retail market, employment laws, and customer behavior.
- At least five years of senior management experience or a relevant Level 5 (or above) NZQF qualification, consistent with ANZSCO Skill Level 2.
