About the Role

Step into a unique retail leadership position where you not only advance your career but also broaden your horizons. This role offers retail leadership unlike typical high street environments, focusing on creating vibrant guest experiences aboard cruise ships. Working in a fast-moving, global retail setting, you'll lead enthusiastic teams dedicated to both performance and memorable service in the expanding cruise industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily operations of an onboard retail store, overseeing a diverse international team.
  • Foster a culture of high standards, motivation, and clear communication to enhance team performance.
  • Collaborate with cruise line partners, premium brands, and onboard stakeholders to maintain impeccable service and commercial metrics.
  • Balance operational rigor with strong relationship management to meet various stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead sales efforts across multiple product categories, including gifts, confectionery, duty-free, and luxury items like fine jewellery and watches.
  • Engage guests in an energetic retail environment by delivering excellent service and creating compelling brand experiences.
  • Organize and participate in guest events that promote brand engagement and enhance the retail atmosphere.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven retail or sales leadership experience managing entire stores or complex, multi-brand environments.
  • Strong ability to build sales-driven teams by combining commercial goals with employee coaching and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear, purposeful feedback and aligning teams with business priorities.
  • Commercially savvy with a strong focus on operational discipline and guest satisfaction.
  • Adaptable decision-maker comfortable within dynamic and fast-paced settings.
  • Passionate about leading diverse teams, uplifting standards, and providing memorable retail experiences.

Additional Information

  • Work periods consist of 4 to 6 months at sea with 1 to 2 months breaks onshore for rest and recharge.
  • All accommodation, meals, and daily living costs onboard are fully covered.
  • Support provided for visa and documentation necessary for onboard employment.
  • Opportunity for worldwide travel as part of your role and career growth.
  • Annual net take-home pay around £50,000, with the potential to save earnings due to covered onboard expenses.
  • Development support to enhance your leadership skills and career trajectory.
