Job description

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing store profitability, managing day-to-day retail operations, improving sales performance, and ensuring a consistently strong customer experience. The position also involves leading store teams, retaining talent, and making sure all activities follow company standards and regulations.

Education

A graduate or postgraduate qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop store-level sales targets and plans that support overall business goals.
  • Track and improve gross margin, stock on hand, category and brand mix, discount control, and related business measures.
  • Put in place standards for productivity, quality, customer service, and operational execution.
  • Suggest product ranges and ensure the store carries the right merchandise mix.
  • Improve sales, margin, shrinkage control, inventory handling, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee commercial activities and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Monitor staff performance and encourage collaboration across the team.
  • Spot future talent and prepare people for key roles.
  • Handle customer feedback and convert it into better service and smoother processes.
  • Keep a close watch on competitors and resolve customer escalations effectively.
  • Execute local promotional activities and events according to the marketing plan.
  • Build and sustain a customer-first culture across the store.

  • Store business management, including gross margin, stock on hand, and category/brand mix.
  • Discount control and brand share improvement.
  • Financial execution, including paper/card VM implementation.
  • Achievement against targets such as numbers versus target versus achievement, RCP, attachment, and EOL.
  • Customer experience measures such as VOC participation, score, SQA, complaints, and loyalty card performance.

  • Jio business outcomes such as activations, recharges, and CAF rejections.
