Job Summary

The role requires an organized and experienced Store In-Charge responsible for receiving shipments, maintaining inventory, organizing transport for engineering equipment, and issuing materials based on project demands. Success in this role depends on strong organizational abilities and effective performance under pressure. The Store In-Charge will maintain accurate stock records, labels, and codes, while ensuring timely shipment and delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain inventory systematically by receiving shipments and verifying materials against purchase orders, including labeling goods with identification codes.
  • Keep detailed bin cards and issuance records for all items stored at the site.
  • Manage storage equipment and tools following Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for every shipment and coordinate with the accounts department for cost booking.
  • Immediately report and return any damaged products upon receipt.
  • Prepare and submit monthly stock and inventory balance reports.
  • Apply company guidelines related to material preservation and storage.
  • Issue materials in response to store requisitions and update insurance companies accordingly.
  • Arrange shipment packing based on commodity standards to guarantee safe delivery to final destinations.
  • Coordinate inland transport logistics consistent with SOPs and process cost bookings to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain regular communication with insurance providers and update monthly log sheets.
  • Conduct audits in line with regional legal requirements and SOPs and undertake additional assignments as directed by the manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse management, and logistics functions.
  • Proven skills in managing inventory systems, including receipt, labeling, storage, and bin card maintenance in compliance with company and safety SOPs.
  • Experience preparing Goods Receipt Notes, monthly inventory reports, and collaborating with accounts for cost allocation.
  • Ability to manage shipment arrangements, perform packing based on standards, and oversee inland transport logistics adhering to SOPs.
  • Knowledgeable in liaising with insurance companies regarding material movements and updating inventory logs.
  • Capability to identify and handle damaged goods, perform audits, and ensure compliance with local laws and freezone regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective communication and the ability to perform additional tasks assigned by management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
