Role overview

Hermès is hiring a Store Cashier for its HSR location in Singapore. The role is centered on supporting the sales floor through accurate cashiering, smooth payment processing, and reliable transactional support while maintaining the brand’s standards of service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Sales Associates with cashiering support and customer service as needed.
  • Process payments accurately across cash, credit card, and other accepted payment methods while following compliance requirements.
  • Manage transactional requests such as returns, exchanges, refunds, and GST tax refunds in line with company policies.
  • Perform daily cash and transaction reconciliation, including checking counter balances at the start and end of shifts to ensure sufficient cash flow.
  • Enter transaction details, client data, and invoice information correctly into the system.
  • Prepare the daily cashier report.
  • Support store operations through gift wrapping and other assigned ad hoc tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with the store team and contribute to a positive team environment.

Required experience and capabilities

  • At least 3 years of cashiering experience in luxury retail or retail settings.
  • Hands-on familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong number handling skills with a careful, accurate, and detail-focused approach to payments.
  • High integrity, credibility, and a strong compliance mindset.
  • Professional appearance with solid interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Comfortable using computers, including MS Excel, Word, and typing tools.
  • Prepared to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
