Job description

Role Overview

The Store Assistant will support supply chain and warehouse operations in Singapore, working under the Manager – Supply Chain. This position focuses on accurate inventory handling, storage, reporting, and compliance with safety and quality standards in a marine or offshore / oil & gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create material requisition forms for store consumables based on reorder levels.
  • Carry out warehouse and finished-goods management so materials and assemblies are received, handled, and stored correctly in line with ISO90001 and the Occupational Health and Safety policy.
  • Keep warehouse operations efficient and cost-effective for the storage and distribution of raw materials and finished-goods inventory.
  • Oversee goods receipt activities, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and help maintain required safety stock levels.
  • Prepare and submit monthly inventory reports to the Finance Department.
  • Ensure all materials and inventory are properly recorded, flag delivery mismatches, and coordinate regular stock counts.
  • Track valid certificates for statutory and non-statutory equipment and arrange service, maintenance, or calibration when equipment expires.
  • Handle disposal of industrial toxic waste, chemical containers/cartridges, scrap, and similar items.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe-work practices to support a clean, orderly, and hazard-free workplace that follows the Occupational Health and Safety policy.
  • Support internal and external audits connected to the purchasing function.
  • Always prioritize personal safety and the safety of colleagues by following the company’s environmental, health, and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification of O Level.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to work confidently with standard computer tools.
  • Forklift driving license is required.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility and a positive work attitude.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and work independently in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical, planning, execution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork, integrity, organization, and time management skills.
  • Prior exposure to marine or offshore / oil & gas industry work is preferred.
