Stockperson/Cartpusher

Role overview

As a Stockperson/Cartpusher with Walmart Canada, you’ll support store operations and customer service by gathering shopping carts, helping customers with carry-outs and carry-ins, and keeping the front end and surrounding areas orderly and safe. This role is a practical entry point into retail and customer service.

Key duties

• Collect carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter, then return them to the designated storage area using approved procedures and completing the required logs.
• Respond quickly when registers need assistance and help customers with carry-outs or carry-ins, including checking receipts as proof of purchase when needed.
• Carry out routine restroom cleaning and maintenance tasks, handle cleaning chemicals safely, follow disposal rules, and use power equipment only after completing the required pre-use inspection report.
• Follow all safety and emergency procedures, including requirements related to hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Keep the Cart Retrieval Log updated at the Customer Service Desk.
• Help maintain a clean, secure, and hazard-free workplace by following company rules and operating procedures.
• Wear required protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and a reflective vest to improve visibility during cart collection.
• Complete safety sweeps whenever they are needed.

Pay

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.35.
