Stock Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and organised Stock Controller to join a reputable food manufacturing company based in Yeovil. This permanent, full-time position offers a salary range from 30,000 to 32,000 per year along with benefits. The role involves maintaining precise stock records, ensuring traceability compliance, and supporting operational efficiency in a fast-paced and regulated environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Keep inventory records accurate across multiple systems and warehouse sites.
• Track stock quantities and facilitate prompt restocking to maintain production flow.
• Perform routine stock audits and resolve any inconsistencies found.
• Guarantee comprehensive traceability of stock aligned with food safety requirements.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse, production, and purchasing departments.
• Oversee goods inbound and outbound procedures, maintaining compliance and proper documentation.
• Analyze inventory data to aid continuous process improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Stock Controller or in Inventory Management within food, FMCG, or similarly regulated sectors.
• Excellent detail orientation, especially concerning traceability standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or warehouse management software.
• Understanding of stock control operations in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication and organisation capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
