Steward (Dishwasher)

About the Role

Hotel Arts Group is seeking a Steward (Dishwasher) to join our dynamic Banquets Department in Calgary, Alberta. This role involves taking charge of cleaning and organizing banquet service items such as china, silverware, and glassware to maintain exceptional cleanliness and adequate inventory levels. Success in this position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery to high standards.
• Receive and properly arrange equipment, china, and plateware following late-night events.
• Clean kitchen equipment and wash all related items including pots, pans, and inserts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all working equipment and workspaces.
• Prepare and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
• Complete all assigned duties before shift end to ensure the morning team can operate smoothly.

Job Requirements

• Strong communication skills demonstrated through previous experiences.
• Physical capability to consistently lift items weighing up to 20 lbs during shifts.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekdays, holidays, and weekends.
