Job description

About the Role

Maynooth University is looking for a STEM Education Teacher Fellow to join the National Centre for Inclusive Higher Education (NCIHE) and collaborate with Microsoft Dream Space. The Fellow will play a key role in developing, co-creating, and implementing STEM content tailored for school students ranging from primary to post-primary levels.

This role emphasizes promoting STEM skills with a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity, ensuring learning environments cater to a wide range of students, including those with special education needs and disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of engaging STEM education material for diverse school-aged learners.
  • Work closely with the coordinating team to refine and enhance content quality and student experience throughout Ireland.
  • Create supportive learning environments that accommodate the varying needs of all students, especially those with special education requirements.

Requirements

  • Passion for promoting STEM education with an emphasis on inclusion and diversity.
  • Ability to design and implement educational content suitable for a broad age range of learners.
  • Experience or skills working with students with special education needs and disabilities.

Additional Information

The post is aligned with the public sector pay scale for Administrative Officer II (points 1-9), with a salary range from 47,387 to 67,129. Appointments will comply with the public sector pay provisions.
