About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic State Sales Manager to spearhead sales and business development for our client in the Solar EPC sector within Uttar Pradesh (UP). This role is crucial for generating Commercial & Industrial (C&I) rooftop solar opportunities, cultivating robust industrial relationships, securing profitable EPC orders, and establishing a significant local market presence. The company is a fast-growing quick-commerce entity focused on revolutionizing retail with a quality-first, customer-centric approach, aiming for a seamless shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive solar EPC sales across industrial and commercial segments in UP.
  • Identify key industrial clusters, target sectors, and high-potential customer segments.
  • Develop and manage a strong opportunity pipeline through direct client acquisition, referrals, consultants, channel partners, and local networks.
  • Engage with promoters, directors, plant heads, CFOs, and other decision-makers to generate and convert business opportunities.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and site visit coordination to proposal discussions, negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and execution teams to ensure smooth project conversion.
  • Enhance company visibility and credibility in the local market through industry associations, consultants, and references.
  • Develop and manage local channel partners, referral networks, and key influencers.
  • Maintain discipline in reporting, pipeline tracking, and participating in weekly/monthly review mechanisms.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, customer expectations, and policy developments in UP.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 5-10 years of experience in Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, or Industrial B2B Sales.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of C&I rooftop solar sales and EPC business development.
  • Leverage a good network within UP among industrial customers, consultants, and the channel ecosystem.
  • Exhibit commercial acumen to close medium to large-ticket EPC deals and manage negotiations effectively.
  • Show strong execution orientation with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset, comfortable in a high-growth, founder-led business environment.

Preferred Background
