Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a staff nurse in a dialysis centre based in Singapore. The role focuses on delivering safe and effective haemodialysis care, supporting clinical quality, and coordinating closely with the wider care team to ensure patient well-being.
Key Duties
- Support the assessment, execution, and review of dialysis care outcomes to uphold service quality.
- Carry out haemodialysis cannulation and treatment in line with established clinical standards and practice guidelines.
- Apply infection prevention measures consistently according to the latest infection control guidance.
- Supervise and guide enrolled nurses and staff at lower levels to maintain a high standard of nursing care.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and concise documentation of haemodialysis treatment details, blood results, and related parameters.
- Give intravenous antibiotics, IV erythropoietin, and blood transfusions during haemodialysis sessions in accordance with standard practice.
- Collect water samples for culture testing to help ensure compliance with safe water standards.
- Coordinate with the relevant hospital teams for blood investigations and follow-up actions.
- Work with dieticians to educate patients on nutrition and fluid adherence.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies that may put patient safety at risk.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a Diploma in Nursing recognised by the Singapore Nursing Board and have valid SNB registration. A minimum of 2 years of relevant dialysis-centre experience is required. The role involves a 6-day work week, including weekends and Public Holidays.
Additional Information
This role requires hands-on clinical nursing in a dialysis environment and regular collaboration with hospital and allied health teams. The position is based onsite in Singapore.
