Job description

Role overview

This is a strong opportunity for a registered nurse who is enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to build experience in a gynaecology outpatient setting. The post is based across sites, including the Birmingham Treatment Centre and Sandwell General Hospital, and involves working with consultants, multidisciplinary colleagues, patients, and families to deliver coordinated care.

The position is focused on giving safe, effective, and compassionate nursing support in a busy outpatient environment. You will help run consultant-led clinics, assess patients, support procedures, and contribute to smooth patient pathways.

Key duties

  • Provide nursing care that is safe, effective, and grounded in evidence.
  • Assist with consultant-led and nurse-led outpatient clinics.
  • Carry out patient assessments, observations, and detailed clinical records.
  • Support minor procedures, wound management, dressings, venepuncture, and cannulation where suitable.
  • Offer practical health information and guidance to patients and carers.
  • Keep documentation accurate and aligned with professional expectations.
  • Protect patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote a positive patient journey.
  • Take part in audits, service improvement work, and ongoing professional development.
