Role Overview

As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Gong, based in Dublin, you will be a vital member of the Frontend guild, collaborating with frontend engineers across the company. You'll engage with challenging technical issues spanning architecture, code, and product dimensions, delivering effective, innovative solutions that balance immediate needs with future goals. You will take full ownership of the features you build, working closely with product and UX teams from initial concepts and wireframes through to production deployment. You will also participate in architectural discussions to shape codebase best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the company-wide Frontend guild to align and enhance frontend practices.
• Solve complex technical challenges spanning architecture, code, and product design.
• Own end-to-end feature development from ideation and design to implementation and release.
• Participate actively in architecture meetings to guide future code and best practice decisions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, lectures, and dedicated learning time.
• Contribute to building a high-impact SaaS product that performs reliably and scales efficiently.

Candidate Profile

• A software engineer with over eight years of experience developing web applications.
• Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for product features you develop.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript with essential experience in React.
• Familiarity with backend programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or C# is advantageous.
• Experience working on large-scale, cloud-based web applications.
• Proven skills in designing system architectures and reusable design components.
• Educational background preferably includes a degree in computer science or a related field.
• A motivated self-starter who learns quickly and adapts effectively.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
• Enjoys working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team.
