Job description
Role overview
This position supports the staff cafeteria operation by keeping service smooth, organized, and aligned with quality expectations. The supervisor helps make sure team members work well together so service standards are met and employee or guest needs are handled promptly.
Key duties
- Coordinate staff activities to maintain efficient service and teamwork.
- Check grooming standards and attire, and correct any issues when needed.
- Handle opening and closing tasks, including arranging supplies and equipment, cleaning work areas, and securing doors and other access points.
- Review storage spaces for proper organization, FIFO usage, and cleanliness.
- Take stock during scheduled inventories and request supplies as needed.
- Monitor dining areas for seating, service quality, safety, and overall well-being of guests.
- Raise maintenance work requests when repairs are required.
- Support hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of team members.
- Act as a role model and first contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures, and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome guests in line with company standards and respond to service needs with courtesy and urgency.
- Assist people with disabilities and show appreciation to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and others.
- Build positive working relationships and help the team achieve shared goals.
- Listen carefully and respond appropriately to coworker concerns.
- Maintain quality standards and contribute ideas that improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost control.
- Read and verify information carefully, even when it is in small print or other difficult formats.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually to identify defects.
- Remain on your feet or otherwise active for long periods, including entire shifts.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Use hands and fingers for precise handling of objects of different shapes and weights.
- Work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and move up and down stairs or service ramps.
- Reach above and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform additional duties reasonably assigned by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications
