Job description

About HPE

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a global edge-to-cloud technology company that helps organizations connect, secure, analyze, and act on data and applications across the full spectrum from edge to cloud. The company emphasizes innovation, inclusion, flexibility, and collaboration, and positions itself at the center of major technology trends such as AI, hybrid cloud, networking, and security.

Role Overview

HPE is seeking a senior strategy and transformation leader to join its Corporate Strategy & Transformation team. The position focuses on defining enterprise-wide priorities, advancing major transformation efforts, and helping shape how the company operates and competes during an important period of change. The role blends strategic analysis with practical execution and provides direct exposure to the CFO as well as senior leaders across business units and functions.

This position is designed as hybrid, with an expectation of working on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. Candidates based in the United States may be considered, with Houston preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Own transformation initiatives within the Catalyst program and deliver outcomes that have company-wide impact.
  • Drive strategic priorities across HPE, including executive and Board-level discussions on growth, portfolio choices, and competitive positioning.
  • Act as a reliable advisor to senior leadership on important business decisions.
  • Partner with business units and FP&A teams to build long-range plans and growth strategies.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Influence major decisions that help guide HPE through a large-scale transformation.
  • Work closely with the CFO and senior leaders from business and functional teams.
  • Gain a mix of strategy and execution experience.
  • Build exposure that can support future leadership opportunities.
  • Work in an environment connected to major technology shifts across the industry.

Experience and Background

  • At least 10 years of professional experience, including substantial time in management consulting at manager level or higher.
  • Background in corporate strategy and large transformation programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional groups and handling complex stakeholder settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and create alignment across functions.
  • MBA or an equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Exposure to B2B technology or a similar industry is preferred.

Skills Needed

The role calls for structured problem-solving, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations. It also requires polished executive communication, confidence with financial and market analysis, and the ability to lead initiatives through influence rather than formal authority.

Benefits and Culture

HPE offers support for employee health and wellbeing, personal and professional development, and an inclusive workplace that values individual backgrounds and needs. The company also highlights opportunities to learn, grow, and move across different areas of the business.

Additional Information

The advertised base salary range for this role in the United States is USD 183,000 to 389,500 annually in California and USD 161,000 to 389,500 annually in Texas. Actual compensation may vary based on location, work experience, education or training, and skill level. Variable incentives may also be available.

Employee benefits information for the United States is available through HPE’s new hire enrollment resources. HPE states that it is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on protected characteristics. The company also notes compliance with applicable laws related to arrest and conviction records. HPE warns applicants about recruitment fraud and states that it does not charge any hiring-related fees or request sensitive personal information through informal channels.
