Job description
About the Company
Millennium Services Group is a cleaning, security, and facilities management business operating across New Zealand and Australia. Since 2003, the company has focused on delivering dependable results, using modern technology and equipment, and supporting staff with ongoing training and development.
The organisation values long-term relationships with clients, employees, and suppliers, with a focus on improving environments for people every day.
The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a dependable and enthusiastic cleaner to join the team at Manukau City Centre, Auckland. This role suits someone who enjoys a busy work setting, takes pride in detail-oriented cleaning, and likes helping create tidy, inviting spaces for customers and clients.
This is a part-time role with the following shifts: Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Competitive hourly pay is offered.
Key Duties
The role involves carrying out a range of cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard, including regular cleaning work, furniture spot-cleaning, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, waste removal, glass cleaning both inside and outside, and dusting hard surfaces.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should ideally have prior cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial setting, and be able to work well as part of a team or independently. Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, punctuality, solid customer service skills, and a good understanding of workplace health and safety are important.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including public holidays when needed, is required. Experience using floor-care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers will be an advantage. Specialist cleaning experience such as carpet cleaning, strip and seal work, and water blasting is also desirable.
Candidates must be 18 years or older because of company health and safety rules. All training, communication, and health and safety instructions are provided in English, so good spoken and written English comprehension is necessary. A valid work right in New Zealand and reliable transport are essential.
Why Join Us
This position offers the chance to join a committed team working across a broad client base in New Zealand and Australia, with opportunities to learn, strengthen your skills, and develop your career. The employer is an equal-opportunity organisation that supports diversity and inclusion.
Additional Information
The employer highlights that employees are supported with modern equipment, workplace solutions, and ongoing development opportunities. The role is based on site in Auckland.
