Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing certification, approval processes, audits, and ongoing oversight within the Air Traffic Services domain, ensuring compliance with international and local aviation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently oversee certification, approval, and audit processes according to technical manuals and regulatory requirements, providing recommendations where necessary.
- Contribute to the annual oversight (surveillance) program development to guarantee adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records within Q-Pulse auditing system to support compliance with organizational functions.
- Conduct aviation safety investigations, coordinating operational aspects to identify accident causes and preventing repetition.
- Implement corrective measures determined through internal surveillance audits to align with Safety Affairs and global standards.
- Facilitate and support audits performed by external bodies such as ICAO and IMS to ensure effective evaluations.
- Organize and keep comprehensive documentation including certifications, reports, and recommendations to provide clear evidence records.
- Assist in defining Acceptable Levels of Safety Performance (ALOSP) to set appropriate safety targets.
- Advance safety promotion initiatives to nurture a safety-conscious culture within the UAE civil aviation sector and keep stakeholders informed of regulatory and safety changes.
- Offer guidance and share best practices, trends, and outcomes from reviews and investigations to mitigate future incidents.
- Support management in maintaining communication with international aviation regulatory authorities regarding new or updated safety regulations.
- Ensure implementation of Safety Affairs policies, systems, procedures, and processes to meet all procedural and legislative demands while delivering quality safety services.
- Prepare and submit required functional reports promptly and accurately, adhering to GCAA standards and quality expectations.
Required Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a licensed Air Traffic Controller with a minimum of five years' operational experience or relevant experience in a closely related environment.
