Job Overview
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking individuals with a cybersecurity background to fill the role of Special Agent. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute investigations related to violations of federal laws, especially concerning cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply sound judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to manage complex investigative challenges.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness necessary to fulfill law enforcement responsibilities effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as part of job duties.
- Fulfill all FBI employment eligibility standards.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university, ideally in fields such as computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Submit official college transcripts for degree verification.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $93,749 and $133,200 annually, with pay determined based on base salary, locality adjustments, and availability pay.

This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. The FBI supports continual professional development and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
