Job Overview
This opportunity is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. As a Special Agent at the FBI, you will utilize your analytical and investigative skills to impact national security directly. This role allows you to apply your cybersecurity and technology background to tackle cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other developing dangers. Your expertise in complex data analysis, pattern recognition, and attention to detail will be central to supporting key investigations to enhance public safety.

Utilizing Your Cybersecurity and Technology Skills
Your background in fields like cybersecurity and technology—especially with programming languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript, and knowledge of C, machine learning, and deep learning—provides a foundation to decode complex information and situations. Primary Responsibilities
- Design and execute investigations related to potential breaches of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety threats.
- Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and flexibility to meet investigative needs.
- Establish and nurture cooperative relationships with various law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness levels required to perform demanding law enforcement tasks.
Key Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
- Fulfillment of FBI's employment eligibility standards.
Educational Requirements
Applicants should possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or related disciplines) obtained from an accredited U.S. institution. Verification via official college transcripts is required.
