About the Role
This unique opportunity allows professionals with a background in accounting or finance to transition into a career as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Beyond leveraging your existing financial expertise, you will gain advanced investigative training, hands-on experience, and work on complex cases involving national security threats including cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and execute investigations into potential federal law violations with emphasis on cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply critical thinking and adaptability in fulfilling dynamic investigative requirements.
- Foster and uphold collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness necessary to meet demanding law enforcement standards.
Key Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Availability and ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as the job demands.
- Fulfillment of all FBI Employment Eligibility standards.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, business administration, finance, forensic accounting, or a related discipline, from an accredited U.S. college or university. Official college transcripts must be submitted for degree verification.
