About the Role

ATL Electrical is expanding its Christchurch team to meet the rising demand for solar services. We are seeking a New Zealand Registered Electrician with experience in solar installations. This position offers exposure to a diverse range of projects including residential and commercial solar works supported by a skilled, experienced team. ATL Electrical operates across multiple sectors including electrical, solar, HVAC, automation, and security, providing a solid foundation for professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform residential solar panel installations and upgrades.
  • Manage commercial solar projects ranging from small to mid-scale assignments.
  • Install, commission, and conduct system testing of inverters.
  • Diagnose faults and service existing solar systems.
  • Carry out general electrical work in both residential and commercial settings.
  • Collaborate with other divisions on integrated projects involving electrical, HVAC, automation, and security systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Electrician in New Zealand with a current practising licence.
  • Minimum of two years of solar experience, specifically with grid-tied systems.
  • Proficient in installations, commissioning, and fault troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Committed to delivering quality workmanship and completing tasks accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Possession of a full New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence.
  • Currently residing in New Zealand is mandatory.

Additional Information

Applicants must hold a full, current Electrical practising licence and a full Class 1 New Zealand driver’s licence. Candidates not currently based in New Zealand will not be considered.
