Software Engineer

Position Overview

This contract role as a Software Engineer is fully remote and involves contributing 10 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust web applications, focusing on both frontend and backend technologies, while managing deployments on AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and enhance web applications using React and JavaScript.
• Develop and optimize backend components with Python and Node.js.
• Handle deployment, management, and scaling of applications in AWS environments.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews and offer constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate expert knowledge in React, Python, Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Have substantial experience with AWS services, especially within distributed system contexts.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with particular attention to detail and clarity.
• Show proven success delivering scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Understand fundamental software design principles and use version control tools like Git proficiently.
