Internship Overview
The Software Development Intern will collaborate closely with senior software engineers to engage in daily software development activities including coding, testing, debugging, and feature contribution. The internship duration is from January 12th to April 24th.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of real-time planners for multi-agent motion planning in the Autonomous Fleet Management product and for task planning in the Warehouse Execution System
- Work alongside development teams on diverse projects
- Design and implement features and evaluation metrics according to specifications
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality
- Help prepare development plans and seek user approval
- Analyze and modify programs to improve efficiency or meet new requirements
- Conduct simulations and evaluate results with metrics analysis
- Contribute actively to real projects gaining practical software development experience
- Engage in agile workflows collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software
- Acquire knowledge on software best practices while adding to feature development
- Collaborate effectively with developers and team members to deliver high-quality software
Candidate Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related software field
- Must be an undergraduate student at junior level or above
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficiency in programming languages C++ and Python is essential
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Travel estimated at less than 10%
- Extended periods seated at a desk working on computers
- Willingness to work in warehouse environment

The hourly wage will vary depending on the student's academic level and prior experience.
