Role Overview
AKA NYC is hiring a Social Media Manager to own strategy, content development, and publishing for selected client accounts. This role calls for a strong strategic thinker who can turn ideas into engaging social campaigns across platforms. Success in this position requires creative excellence, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage campaigns from initial concept through final delivery. The position is full-time, exempt, and based in New York City.
What You'll Do
- Take the lead on social media strategy, content planning, and execution for multiple client accounts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by sharing recommendations, insights, and guidance on social best practices and new trends.
- Build social strategies, editorial calendars, KPI plans, and measurement approaches aligned with client objectives.
- Work closely with creative, media, and client service teams to launch fresh, audience-focused campaigns.
- Produce and supervise social content, including photography, video, and short-form assets shaped for each platform.
- Capture content on location when needed, such as rehearsals, performances, live events, and other key moments.
- Track campaign results, spot optimization opportunities, and present findings and next steps to clients.
- Help strengthen the social team through teamwork, mentoring, and process improvements.
- Assist with new business efforts such as pitches, audits, and strategic proposals.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this role in New York, NY is between $66,300 and $85,000. Base compensation may also reflect internal equity, location, job-related expertise, skills, and years of experience. A discretionary bonus may be offered as part of the overall package.
