Role overview

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can own strategy, content development, and profile management across TikTok and Instagram. This position combines personal branding, short-form video, and organic growth to help build a polished, high-trust presence from the ground up.

You will take the client’s raw ideas and shape them into refined content that feels premium, educational, and audience-focused. The aim is to create an exclusive-feeling brand identity that attracts the right people naturally and converts interest into referrals.

About the client

The client is a life insurance professional serving families and union members through benefit-focused positioning. The brand is intended to feel selective and high-end, more like a private, members-only community than a broad consumer page. The content strategy should be education-led, trust-building, and designed to establish credibility while drawing in organic inbound attention.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a complete social media strategy for TikTok and Instagram starting from zero.
  • Set the content themes, brand positioning, and posting rhythm for the accounts.
  • Convert the client’s concepts into polished short-form social content.
  • Handle end-to-end content production and editing for Reels, TikTok videos, Shorts, graphics, captions, and written copy.
  • Lead the personal branding refresh and maintain a unified, premium, education-first identity.
  • Develop content that explains life insurance, family protection, and generational wealth in a clear, approachable, and non-promotional way.
  • Increase organic reach to generate inbound interest, community engagement, and referrals.
  • Monitor performance, summarize results, and adjust the content approach based on engagement data.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience growing TikTok and Instagram accounts, supported by a portfolio and measurable results.
  • Strong ability in short-form video planning, filming guidance, and editing.
  • Competence in graphic design, caption writing, and copywriting.
  • Experience building personal brands or founder-led brands, including rebranding work.
  • An eye for premium, aspirational visuals that feel curated rather than generic or corporate.
  • Ability to simplify educational or complex topics and present them in an engaging way; familiarity with finance or insurance is an advantage.
  • Preference for organic growth strategies centered on community and referrals instead of paid advertising.
  • Flexible, proactive, collaborative, and able to execute independently without needing constant direction.
  • Availability during EST working hours.
