Role Overview

This is a full-time, in-office position on the social media team in Toronto, Ontario. You will report to the Director, Social Media and work closely with the social media and marketing teams. The role supports venue marketing, communications, and event marketing across Canada, covering everything from club events to stadium concerts. A major part of the job involves organic social publishing, content development, and customer support, including capturing and posting content during shows.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing social content and customer engagement across multiple brands and platforms, while working in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.

  • Publish content across multiple social channels, making sure all necessary approvals are secured before posting.
  • Share live and same-day content for concerts, festivals, events, and venues, including evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain a large and changing content calendar while coordinating priorities across different stakeholders and platforms.
  • Write copy and match it with creative assets for different venue brands, audience types, and channel requirements.
  • Review posts and creative materials carefully to ensure accuracy, polish, and quality before publication.
  • Create or adapt visual assets for venue and brand campaigns.
  • Handle a high volume of customer messages and inquiries, including troubleshooting and escalation when needed.
  • Respond quickly to urgent issues in real time, including outside standard hours.
  • Work with team members to plan and execute content for major events and venues.
  • Prepare recaps and reports to monitor performance, evaluate metrics, and recommend improvements based on data.
  • Track trends, platform updates, and new opportunities relevant to the company’s social channels in Canada.
  • Support other departments and business functions as needed.
  • Use shared calendars, tracking sheets, and project management tools to stay organized.
  • Contribute to special projects and carry out other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with major social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, and similar channels.
  • Availability to work an in-office schedule from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with required evening and weekend coverage.
  • Comfort using Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, Sprout, Canva, and comparable workplace tools.
  • Basic graphic design ability, including resizing and editing creative assets for social use.
  • Strong interest in live events, marketing, and social media.
  • Clear, persuasive copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and format for different brands and platforms.
  • Excellent multitasking and organization skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume work while adjusting to shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking for reporting, insight generation, and data-led decision-making.
  • Creative, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure while taking direction well.
  • Professional judgment, including integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a team-based environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role involves working at a computer for long periods, moving around the office as needed, and handling regular office tasks. The position may require standing and walking during the day, using hands and fingers for computer and office equipment operation for up to 8 hours daily, and lifting objects up to 10 pounds on a regular basis. Work takes place in a standard office setting with normal noise levels.
