Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position is based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Social Media Manager will oversee day-to-day social content across major platforms, with the goal of strengthening brand visibility and encouraging audience interaction. The role includes building and running social campaigns, preparing and publishing posts, and tailoring copy and content for each platform.

Key Duties

The position also covers community engagement, such as replying to comments and direct messages, tracking brand mentions, and escalating concerns when appropriate. Performance monitoring is an important part of the job, including reviewing metrics, producing reports, and using the findings to improve future content plans. Close coordination with the marketing, design, and product teams is required to ensure social media activity supports broader brand and campaign objectives.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of social media marketing and optimization, with experience managing company profiles on leading platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to create concise, audience-focused copy.
  • Background in content planning, including building calendars, identifying audience groups, and connecting content to business objectives.
  • Ability to work with social media analytics and scheduling platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar tools.
  • Proven skill in managing online communities while maintaining a consistent and professional brand tone.
  • Good planning, coordination, and time-management abilities, with capacity to juggle several campaigns and deadlines at once.
  • Experience in technology or digital products is helpful, and familiarity with basic graphic design or video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express is an added advantage.
  • A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
