Role Overview
This is a temporary Social Media Intern position based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with a hybrid schedule that includes both in-office and work-from-home days. The role supports the daily running of social media activities and contributes to content production across Instagram and other short-form video platforms.
What You Will Do
- Contribute ideas for social content, campaign themes, and client storytelling.
- Assist during content shoots and help support the production of Reels and short-form videos.
- Write captions and help prepare posts for publishing.
- Schedule content and keep the content calendar organized.
- Monitor social platforms for engagement opportunities and community interactions.
- Research trends, audio clips, and competitor content to inform creative direction.
- Support basic performance tracking and help prepare simple reports.
- Coordinate with the team to keep client materials organized and aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in social media marketing and digital marketing.
- Practical ability in social media content creation, with a strong focus on Instagram Reels and short-form video.
- Working knowledge of marketing fundamentals and audience engagement.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Enrollment in, or recent completion of, a program in marketing, communications, media, or a related discipline; equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and current social trends, plus basic editing skills in mobile or desktop tools.
- Good organization, reliability, and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines in a busy creative setting.
- Comfort working in a hybrid arrangement within the New York City Metropolitan Area.
