About the company
Insomnia Visuals is a rapidly expanding alternative fashion label that has reached a large audience online and through major retail partners located in shopping malls across the United States. The brand focuses on style, self-expression, streetwear, and internet culture.
The team is looking for a social media coordinator with a solid background in social media, a sharp understanding of trends, confidence in photo and video editing, and a genuine enthusiasm for fashion to join the marketing department.
Role summary
In this social media and influencer coordination role, you will help grow the brand’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms. You will also support behind-the-scenes content creation on set and assist with PR coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the company’s main social channels by publishing content and engaging with customers.
- Plan and maintain a steady and organized content schedule.
- Turn raw assets from the production team into polished social posts.
- Work with the paid advertising team to adapt raw creative into ad-ready assets.
- Develop fresh, relevant content concepts through research and trend spotting.
- Track fashion, social media, and competitor trends to identify new ideas for Instagram feeds, reels, and TikTok.
- Use existing influencer relationships while also building new connections with fashion and Gen-Z creators who have strong followings.
- Oversee current influencer partnerships and keep the influencer database current.
- Record, monitor, and follow up on influencer packages until they are delivered.
- Measure campaign results and refine influencer strategy based on performance.
Work environment and role notes
- This position is remote and contract-based, with an expected schedule of about 25 to 30 hours per week.
- The company plans to transition the role into a full-time position after a 90-day period.
- The reporting line for this role goes directly to the Brand Director.
- The work culture is highly collaborative and creative, with frequent product reviews, fittings, and fast decision-making.
- The team works closely with fashion, music, digital culture, and modern streetwear.
- The company is looking for someone who genuinely cares about clothing and personal expression.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of prior experience in social media or marketing.
- Strong awareness of online trends, with a track record of creating or directing social content that performs well.
- High proficiency in photo editing and video editing, especially for TikTok and Reels.
- Strong attention to detail along with solid organizational and communication abilities.
- A bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university.
- Must be based in Los Angeles and able to travel to the DTLA office.
- Must have prior experience working with social media for a product-based company.
- Must already have interest in alternative apparel, whether through personal style, shopping, or design-related work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and coming into the office when needed.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay is set at $22.50 per hour.
