Job description

Role overview

Join a fast-moving, creative environment where social media is central to the brand voice. In this Melbourne-based full-time role, you will help expand the company’s social presence across the APAC region with plenty of ownership, room for ideas, and hands-on involvement across major platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and X. This position is suited to someone who enjoys trend-led content, works well in collaborative settings, and is eager to build momentum quickly.

What you will do

Working under the Social Media Manager, you will manage daily execution across APAC, keeping content engaging, consistent, and tailored to each platform. The role involves balancing multiple markets, staying close to performance, and moving quickly in an environment that changes often.

  • Develop and present platform-native, trend-aware content ideas that attract attention and encourage engagement.
  • Assist with content planning and scheduling so posts go out on time and support campaign objectives.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager and content creators on creative briefs for both scheduled and reactive content.
  • Keep an eye on social channels for brand mentions, audience responses, and engagement opportunities.
  • Reply to followers and help strengthen the online community through active engagement.
  • Review and summarise performance data such as reach, engagement, and growth to guide future decisions.
  • Stay informed on trends and platform changes to keep content current and relevant.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure content reflects the brand and aligns with wider marketing activity.

What we are looking for

You should be organised, proactive, and genuinely interested in social media. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related area is preferred, although equivalent experience is also acceptable. Practical exposure to social media planning, scheduling, or management will be an advantage.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort working with social media platforms and a basic understanding of social media management tools.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as trends and best practices evolve.
  • Strong organisation and close attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Prior experience in social media planning, scheduling, or management is helpful.

Compensation and work setup

The salary for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Melbourne office.

Benefits and perks

You’ll have access to a range of learning, reward, wellbeing, and workplace perks designed to support growth and day-to-day enjoyment.

  • Hands-on learning opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Career progression support, with many team members moving up over time.
  • Competitive market-aligned pay.
  • Performance-based bonus of up to 20%.
  • Referral bonus for bringing in strong new hires.
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers.
  • 12 weeks of transition support for returning parents, including fully paid Fridays off during the first three months back.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program.
  • Wednesday massages.
  • Free coffee, fresh juices, and smoothies from in-house baristas.
  • Daily catered breakfast and regular company events.
  • Snack walls and drink fridges on every floor.
  • Modern office amenities including pool tables, table tennis, gaming consoles, and an F1 simulator.

Culture and hiring approach

The company describes itself as a high-growth technology business with a large global audience and several well-known brands under its umbrella. It values people who are hungry, humble, and fast-moving, and encourages team members to unite, disrupt, and evolve together. Hiring is based on talent and drive, with an emphasis on fair and inclusive decision-making.
