Role Overview

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is seeking a creative social media content creator to develop short-form video content and social media graphics supporting its policy campaigns. This consultant will collaborate closely with the social media and policy teams to craft compelling, platform-native material—primarily for TikTok—that promotes corporate accountability campaigns and highlights key policy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit 2 to 3 short videos weekly.
  • Focus content production mainly for TikTok, with repurposing for Instagram Reels and related platforms.
  • Create single static graphics and multi-frame carousels translating policy tracker information into accessible visuals.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics for campaign-specific content.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in producing short-form videos for TikTok or Instagram Reels.
  • Strong abilities in scriptwriting, on-camera presence or voice narration, and video editing.
  • Proficiency designing social graphics and carousel content using tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or Figma.
  • Skill in transforming complex policy subjects into easily understandable and engaging visual and video formats for a general audience.

Contract Details

This part-time, remote consultancy spans 10 months, requiring about 15-20 hours weekly. Applicants must reside in the United States. Compensation is set at $3,000 monthly, covering deliverables such as roughly 8-12 short videos per month.
