Job description
About the Role
We are seeking passionate Shortform Content Creators and Editors to join our team, focusing mainly on Instagram and YouTube. Each creator will be responsible for producing two short videos weekly, with opportunities to focus solely on editing if preferred. This role offers a chance to develop skills in crafting engaging short-form content and potentially create viral hits to enhance your portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Produce and edit two short videos per week, creating platform-specific versions with varying calls to action and occasional different hooks.
- Engage in weekly analysis meetings to evaluate performance data, suggest improvements, and deepen understanding of audience engagement and algorithms.
- Coordinate with recording personnel to source footage and assets, and manage posting of completed content.
Company Background
Our creative collective includes nearly 300 artists working across comics, games, films, music, art, world-building, marketing, and operations. We have collaborators who previously contributed to renowned projects such as Star Wars, Dune, and Shadow and Bone. Though our operation runs on passion and resourcefulness, we maintain a high standard of discipline and commitment to success.
Your Profile
- Proficient with DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro, capable of efficient editing (note: use of CapCut is not permitted).
- Curious and eager to master strategies for increasing viewer retention and virality.
- Highly creative with the ability to generate and execute numerous ideas effectively.
- Dependable—we value those who meet commitments and maintain communication.
- Proactive in seeking better material, suggesting script or hook improvements, and collaborating with producers when necessary.
Compensation and Commitment
You will be expected to commit approximately 10 hours weekly. Flexibility is allowed for personal circumstances such as illness or other priorities. Currently, this is an unpaid position; however, it includes a profit-sharing model under development. Participants will receive a stake in the project's earnings based on their contributions. Detailed profit-sharing terms will be provided upon interview requests to help you make an informed decision.
