Job description

Company Overview

Nannette Brown is a New York-based interior design and media firm known for a polished, modern point of view and a strong editorial sensibility. Established in 1999, the studio earned its reputation through architecture-driven interiors that blend thoughtful curation, personal expression, and everyday livability. Its broader “NB 2.0” vision expands into Life Architecture, a cross-disciplinary approach that links designed spaces with self-expression, mindset, wellness, and food.

Guided by the idea of The Living Edit, the firm treats design as a continuous process of refinement that encourages clarity, confidence, and transformation. With recognition in titles such as Vogue, Elle Decor, Town & Country, and Forbes, Nannette Brown works with a sophisticated international clientele and is positioned as both a design leader and a cultural voice.

The Social & Editorial Media Manager will lead social media direction for the brand, building and running strategies that express the firm’s design ethos and Life Architecture philosophy across platforms. The role combines social planning, editorial development, calendar ownership, and day-to-day publishing.

The position also includes writing both short- and long-form copy for social channels, newsletters, and selected website content; defining brand storytelling; reviewing analytics; improving engagement and growth; and maintaining a consistent visual and editorial standard in partnership with design and production teams. Community engagement, partnership support, and active awareness of digital trends in design, culture, and lifestyle are also key parts of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage brand presence across multiple social platforms, with strong social media marketing and optimization experience.
  • Solid background in content planning and editorial scheduling, including maintaining calendars and aligning communication with broader brand goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex design and lifestyle ideas into clear, engaging copy.
  • Hands-on experience using analytics tools to measure social performance, read data, and refine strategy accordingly.
  • Prior exposure to interior design, luxury, or lifestyle-led brands is an advantage.
  • A refined eye for visual presentation and the ability to work smoothly with creative, design, and production collaborators.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a busy studio environment with an on-site workflow.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute social media strategies that reflect the brand’s design identity and Life Architecture philosophy.
  • Manage platform calendars, schedule content, and oversee daily publishing across channels.
  • Develop editorial narratives and create copy for social media, newsletters, and selected web pages.
  • Track performance metrics, evaluate engagement trends, and adjust content approach to support growth.
  • Maintain consistency in voice, tone, and visual presentation across all digital touchpoints.
  • Work closely with design and production teams to align content with brand standards and campaign needs.
  • Engage with the audience, respond to interactions, and support community management efforts.
  • Assist with collaborations and partnerships while staying informed about trends in design, culture, and lifestyle media.
