Job description

Overview

This role sits with McCann in Aotearoa, previously known as FCB Aotearoa, based in central Auckland. It is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a major industry shift, as FCB, DDB and Clemenger come together under the McCann banner in Aotearoa in 2026.

The move represents far more than a business combination. It brings together celebrated creative capability, cultural impact, and a long track record of work that has influenced the local market and reached audiences beyond New Zealand. The role offers a chance to help shape a new era of integrated thinking and creativity in Aotearoa.

For clients, this evolution is intended to create even stronger results. For the team, it opens the door to wider career growth, fresh experiences, and the opportunity to produce standout work.

Role Summary

The team is seeking a Social Content Creator who combines creative instincts, technical know-how, curiosity, and a strong feel for culture to produce content that audiences genuinely want to view, share, and discuss.

  • Capture and edit engaging short-form content for social channels.
  • Own the full content workflow from concept development to delivery.
  • Produce content designed specifically for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and similar channels.
  • Work closely with social, creative, and strategy teams to turn ideas into finished content.
  • Keep up with evolving trends, content formats, and new social media behaviours.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong production skills, a good sense of what performs on social, and the ability to stay organised across several projects at once.

  • Confident shooting and editing capability.

  • Excellent organisation and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong creative drive.
  • Previous experience in an agency, production house, or content-focused role is preferred.

What Success Looks Like

You should be highly motivated by social content, comfortable in a busy creative setting, and excited by the opportunity to create work that stands out.

The culture is collaborative, ambitious, and people-focused, with an emphasis on helping team members bring their full selves to work and do their best work.
