About Anthropologie Europe
Founded in 1992 in Pennsylvania, USA, Anthropologie has grown into a premier destination for unique clothing, accessories, gifts, and home decor. With over 200 stores globally, the brand expanded into Europe in 2009, now operating more than 18 stores across the UK and Europe. We are seeking a creative and culturally attuned Social Content Creator to bring the Anthropologie EU brand to life across various social media platforms.
Role Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social-first storytelling, a keen aesthetic sense, and a deep immersion in fashion, internet culture, and the evolving social media landscape. This role is crucial in developing compelling content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, supporting everything from campaign narratives and product launches to community engagement and cultural moments. The primary goal is to create content that genuinely resonates with our audience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Content Creation & Creative Development: Develop and produce engaging, social-first content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. Establish consistent content formats and storytelling strategies that build recognizable and repeatable moments for our audience, moving beyond one-off viral attempts. Foster a culture of experimentation grounded in brand integrity, encouraging bold yet intentional testing. Collaborate with Buying teams to understand product stories and translate them into editorial content. Work with Creative teams to adapt campaign direction and brand identity into socially native content. Align with Marketing on brand initiatives, launches, and seasonal priorities, ensuring social storytelling supports business objectives while maintaining cultural relevance. Create content that balances brand identity, cultural relevance, and commercial goals. Lead and assist on content shoots, including capture, styling, talent direction, and on-set creation. Edit video and static content for social channels, including paid media, optimizing for platform performance and audience engagement. Support the creation of ongoing content series and storytelling formats to foster long-term audience connection.
- Paid Social: Drive the creation of content specifically tailored for Paid Social and Digital Marketing channels, designed for both organic engagement and measurable business outcomes. Understand and apply key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Cost Per Session (CPS) to inform creative decisions. Utilize data from the Paid team to guide future content development.
- Trend, UGC & Competitor Research: Monitor emerging social trends, platform updates, trending audio, and evolving content formats. Identify culturally relevant opportunities that align with the Anthropologie brand and audience. Conduct research on competitors and the industry to uncover opportunities, best practices, and content inspiration. Source and organize User-Generated Content (UGC) inspiration, creator references, and platform-native content ideas for the wider social team. Monitor audience sentiment and provide insights on emerging conversations, trends, and customer interests.
- Content Planning & Social Operations: Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing across social channels as needed. Support the Social Media Executive with social reporting by identifying key learnings. Help maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content aligned with business priorities. Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Retail teams to integrate social storytelling throughout the customer journey.
- Shoot & Production Support: Assist with shoot preparation, on-set logistics, budget management, and sample handling. Support content tracking, asset selection, and post-shoot organization. Capture content opportunities during events, launches, store openings, and brand activations. Help organize and maintain content libraries for future use across various channels, including paid media.
What You'll Need
Candidates should possess strong, proven experience in social media, content creation, or a related field. A deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, including platform dynamics, content formats, and audience expectations, is essential. Exceptional taste with a keen eye for fashion, styling, visual aesthetics, and lo-fi videography is required. Experience shooting both low-fi iPhone and high-fi DSLR content is necessary. Candidates must be confident in creating social-first content, including filming, editing, and ideation. A strong visual storytelling ability, aesthetic sensibility, and awareness of social trends are crucial.
