Key duties

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support to people with intellectual disabilities and more complex care requirements.
  • Develop trust-based, respectful relationships with clients.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and review social care programmes in line with professional standards.
  • Contribute effectively both within a team and when working independently.
  • Maintain strong standards of care through an evidence-based, person-focused approach.
  • Support clients by recognising their strengths and helping them manage personal challenges.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Offer practical day-to-day assistance tailored to each individual’s needs.

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Care or Healthcare.
  • Prior experience supporting people with disabilities and behavioural challenges.
  • Strong spoken and written communication abilities.
  • Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous relevant experience is essential.
  • Access to a car and a full driving licence is preferred.
