Role Overview
This opening is for a corporate recruiter who will act as the primary talent partner for a portfolio of roofing and home improvement brands within the Vertex network. The person in this role will work closely with field leaders and be embedded in the day-to-day needs of the business to recruit across multiple functions, with the greatest focus on outside sales, contact center and customer experience, support functions, and production roles.
The position is based in Charlotte, NC and supports hiring across multiple states. It suits someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, builds strong relationships quickly, and brings a resourceful, hands-on, mission-driven approach to recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
- Run end-to-end recruiting for a mix of roles such as outside sales representatives, sales managers, call center representatives, production staff, and administrative positions.
- Work directly with regional and local leaders to understand workforce needs and create proactive hiring plans.
- Source candidates through a variety of channels, including job boards, local communities, networking efforts, events, and employee referrals.
- Screen applicants and conduct first-round interviews to evaluate both capability and fit.
- Create and nurture talent pipelines for roles that are regularly hired or difficult to fill.
- Coordinate interviews and keep the hiring process moving smoothly for candidates and stakeholders.
- Share timely status updates and recruitment insights with both local teams and corporate partners.
- Help strengthen the employer brand through social media, community events, and referral activity.
- Monitor recruiting data and look for ways to improve speed, quality, and process efficiency.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of recruiting experience, whether in-house or at an agency. Experience recruiting for sales or high-volume positions is preferred, and the ability to build candidate pipelines from the ground up is important. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed, along with the confidence to speak with entry-level candidates as well as senior business leaders. The right candidate should be organized, able to prioritize effectively, and comfortable working independently while staying connected to a remote team.
Tools and Background Preferred
Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools is expected, and familiarity with Greenhouse is an advantage. Prior exposure to roofing, home services, or trades-related industries is considered a plus.
Compensation and Earnings
The target salary range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000 per year, with performance-based commission. The estimated on-target earnings are $80,000 to $100,000 annually. This role is classified as exempt and salaried.
