Role Overview
Attuned Healthcare is looking for a committed Social Care Team Lead to join its residential services in Knocktopher, County Kilkenny. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting the delivery of person-centred care in a micro-residential setting for people with complex support needs. The organisation works across residential and community-based services for children, young people, adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, and people who require trauma-informed or high-support interventions.
The role supports a values-led environment focused on compassionate care, strong governance, and positive long-term outcomes. You will assist the Centre Manager with daily operations, team coordination, compliance, and quality improvement while helping create a safe, empowering, and therapeutic service.

- Salary range of €40,000 to €45,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day service operations alongside the Social Care Manager
- Help manage staff rosters and scheduling
- Monitor centre budgets
- Complete daily and weekly compliance checks
- Assist with audits, incident reviews, and service improvement actions
- Ensure adherence to HIQA/MHC standards, safeguarding practices, and legal obligations
- Lead, guide, supervise, and coach care and administrative staff
- Oversee individual support plans so each person’s needs, rights, and choices remain central
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with families, advocates, MDT colleagues, and external agencies
- Maintain high standards in safety, health, infection control, GDPR, and data handling
- Promote professionalism, respect, empowerment, and continuous improvement across the service

Essential Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Social Care or Health Care at QQI Level 7 or above, or equivalent
- Alternatively, evidence of enrolment in, or current study toward, a CORU-recognised Social Care qualification at QQI Level 7
- A CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification, or evidence that CORU registration has been applied for
- Prior experience in residential services supporting people with complex needs
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making ability
- Excellent documentation, organisation, and report-writing skills
- Comfort using IT systems and digital record-keeping tools
- Understanding of good practice in residential care, safeguarding, rights-based support, and trauma-informed approaches
- Commitment to Children First where relevant
- Knowledge of Trust in Care Policy where relevant
- Successful Garda Vetting
- Legal permission to work in Ireland
- A full clean driving licence
- A respectful, professional, and empathetic approach
