Role Summary
The Social Art Director role is focused on shaping ideas that feel native to culture and social platforms, rather than simply adapting traditional creative work. The ideal candidate can turn insights into attention-grabbing social content, develop platform-specific concepts, and build visual storytelling that people genuinely want to interact with. The work spans TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other emerging channels.
You will partner with Copywriters, Creative Directors, Strategists, Content Creators, and Producers to build social campaigns, always-on content, and broader content ecosystems for a major entertainment and travel brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept and develop visual ideas for social-first campaigns and ongoing content.
- Convert brand strategy into executions tailored to each platform.
- Lead the visual direction across static, motion, short-form video, creator-led content, and social activations.
- Work closely with Copywriters and the Social Lead to build integrated creative ideas.
- Design polished presentation decks, storyboards, and visual prototypes.
- Partner with designers, motion artists, editors, and production teams to protect and elevate creative quality.
- Keep pace with social trends, creator culture, and new platform behaviours.
- Contribute actively in ideation sessions across multiple brands and assignments.
- Maintain strong craft, consistency, and attention to detail throughout all output.
- Support senior creative leaders in internal and client presentations.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in advertising, social, digital, or integrated agencies.
- A portfolio that clearly shows social-first thinking and strong visual storytelling.
- Solid command of design fundamentals such as layout, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Good understanding of social platforms and how content ecosystems work.
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually, not only visually execute.
- Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of animation and motion design, including motion mockups, animated content, and presentation-ready prototypes.
- Experience creating content in static, motion, video, and creator-led formats.
- Prior exposure to creators, content production, or social shoots will be an added advantage.
- Comfort managing several projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Photography skills with an eye for framing, lighting, and visual storytelling are a plus.
- Videography experience, including shooting and editing social content, is also a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows is desirable.
- Experience with lifestyle, entertainment, travel, or hospitality brands is an advantage.

Success in this role means creating ideas that are built for social from the start, not repurposed from traditional advertising. The work should attract attention through relevance, originality, and craft, while consistently improving the visual standard of every deliverable.
