Smart Hands IT Field Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for an IT field support engineer based in Renwick, Marlborough, New Zealand. The work is delivered on a dispatch basis and may involve on-call, ticket-driven support. The arrangement can suit freelance, part-time, or casual availability.

Work Location and Support Model

The assignment is site-based in Renwick 7272, New Zealand. Support is expected against service levels for same-business-day (SBD) and next-business-day (NBD) resolution.

Key Technical Scope

• Resolve desktop, network, and audio-video issues, including conference room setup.
• Carry out operating system installation and upgrades.
• Apply software and hardware fixes as required.
• Install patches and perform routine system support tasks.
• Provide basic support for Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, switches, and routers.
• Install and manage Microsoft Office.

Language and Communication

The role calls for business-level English communication along with the local language.
