Job description
Role overview
Amazon’s Security Loss Prevention (SLP) team is looking for a highly capable, self-driven professional to help design and run a strong security program that protects customers by supporting on-time deliveries at the lowest possible cost. The role sits within the ATS site in IN-SLP and is an individual contributor position focused on safeguarding people and assets at Amazon locations in line with global security standards and policies.
This position calls for someone who can work across functions, partner with operations and support leaders, and influence stakeholders to solve SLP-related challenges. The role demands a broad security, investigations, and business continuity mindset, along with the ability to handle site-level security execution and strategic reviews.
Core responsibilities
The selected person will own security work across the assigned territory and facilities, including guarding operations, asset and system oversight, audits, compliance, process improvement, investigations, crisis response, and business reviews.
Security operations ownership
You will be responsible for end-to-end physical security operations for assigned sites. This includes managing guarding services, tracking headcount, allocating standard work, monitoring the control room, and reviewing workforce performance through Specter. You will also oversee security assets and systems to ensure they remain serviceable, access-controlled, monitored, and maintained to meet business requirements. Coordination with physical security program teams, technical teams, and vendors will be essential.
Audits and certifications
For the facilities in your cluster, you will conduct regular audits using standard binary checks and work with site and operations teams to close identified gaps. A key part of the role is driving the required security certifications and helping the sites remain compliant with day-to-day secure operating practices.
Loss prevention and process improvement
You will focus on reducing shrink and preventing losses by identifying process breaches during audits and floor walks, studying trends, and working with operations to create corrective actions. The role also requires spotting technology or system improvements that can help scale better processes across the network and support long-term fixes.
Investigations
The role involves investigative work related to theft, fraud, and customer abuse across the network. You will review video surveillance evidence, coordinate with local law enforcement when needed, identify patterns and key methods of operation, and use trend analysis and data review to understand what is happening at the site level. Investigation outputs will also support escalations such as ECR and buyer-related escalations.
Crisis and incident management
Because the external risk environment can change quickly, you will periodically assess internal and external threats, put mitigation measures in place, and help ensure business continuity. During crises or incidents, you will work closely with stakeholders, lead site-level guidance, and help manage response actions in line with WWOS standards.
Business reviews and stakeholder partnership
The role includes preparing and presenting materials for WBR, MBR, and QBR forums and leading discussions on critical issues with senior stakeholders. You will be expected to take a strategic view, identify the right structure and key debated topics, dig into complex issues, and partner with field and program leaders across the organization.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should bring at least 10 years of experience in law enforcement or a security-related field. Prior hands-on work in law enforcement or another security profession is required. Strong Excel skills are also preferred.
