Role overview
MECCA is looking for a Skin Specialist in Dunedin City, Otago, New Zealand to share expert skincare knowledge and create exceptional in-store experiences for customers. This is a permanent, full-time retail role with regular scheduling, ideal for someone passionate about helping people find the right skin solutions.
What the role involves
- Act as the in-store skincare expert and guide customers toward products suited to their individual concerns and goals.
- Carry out skin services such as consultations and calming facials.
- Partner with your store team to ensure customers receive a standout experience across the whole store.
What makes someone successful in this role
- Solid hands-on knowledge of skincare products and how ingredients support different skin types and needs.
- The ability to create memorable customer moments that help people feel confident and comfortable in their skin.
- A collaborative, upbeat attitude and a genuine team-first mindset.
- A beauty therapy qualification is preferred, but it is not mandatory.
Learning and growth

Trial period and hiring process
If you have not worked for MECCA before, your first 90 days of employment will be treated as a trial period. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a one-way video interview, followed by an in-person assessment as the final stage. Support can be arranged during the recruitment process if needed.
