Job Details
The position is based in Squamish, BC, offering a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm. The hourly wage for this role is $23.00.
Role Overview
As a Site Supervisor, you will ensure the building’s environment is consistently clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Your duties include supervising the daily cleaning and maintenance operations of common areas and washrooms, enforcing quality standards, and training new employees.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of custodial staff performing both light and heavy cleaning tasks.
- Provide training to new hires, instilling BEST’s culture, mission, and values.
- Maintain communication with Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager about staffing, safety, supplies, and operational issues.
- Conduct staff meetings to implement company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Ensure secure storage and safety of cleaning tools and supplies for staff and public protection.
- Carry out minor repairs on equipment and promptly report any vandalism.
- Report maintenance needs and supply shortages proactively.
- Perform other related duties as business needs arise.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
- Familiarity with WHMIS, cleaning chemicals, and procedures is beneficial.
- Basic proficiency with computers and smartphones, including Microsoft Office usage.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills to meet deadlines effectively.
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Must be able to clear a Canadian background check.
- Valid driver’s license required.
