Role overview

This opportunity is for an accomplished Site Manager to take charge of execution on an industrial project in Qatar, supporting a strategic revamping initiative. The assignment is based in Doha and requires a full-time on-site presence for six months.

The client will provide accommodation, transportation, and all other resources needed to carry out the assignment.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the company’s point of contact with the client and subcontractors at the worksite.
  • Steer and coordinate construction work across all stages of the project.
  • Oversee site teams and ensure work is progressing effectively.
  • Track subcontractor output, staffing, and productivity on a continuous basis.
  • Plan and run daily and weekly coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Draft and circulate daily and weekly progress updates.
  • Monitor adherence to the project timeline and introduce corrective measures when required.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental processes are correctly applied and encourage a strong safety mindset on site.
  • Verify that quality procedures are followed and that quality control checks are carried out.
  • Coordinate work between multiple disciplines.
  • Act as the link between the construction, engineering, and client teams.
  • Support project close-out tasks, follow up on punch list items, and contribute to final acceptance of the installation.

Candidate profile

  • An engineering degree or a comparable technical background is required.
  • At least 20 years of experience in international industrial projects is expected.
  • Applicants should have prior experience as a Site Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong capability in managing subcontractors and multicultural teams is important.
  • Experience in brownfield work, revamping assignments, or plant shutdown projects is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic activities is needed.
  • English fluency is mandatory.

Assignment details

This role is a six-month, full-time, on-site assignment in Qatar. Accommodation, transport, and all required means for the assignment are covered by the client.
